Are our investments safe? Like any investment there is risk, however, our local expertise and acquisition model go to great lengths to mitigate risk. Our acquisitions will be all cash or have a low loan to value so we can accomplish two major feats: one, provide stronger and more consistent quarterly returns and two, maintain cash flow during uncertain economic climates or periods of vacancy.

Ryan began his career in real estate with Hubbell Realty Company managing their commercial land portfolio. He joined CBRE|Hubbell Commercial in 2008 to provide his expanding client base with custom real estate solutions to meet their strategic investment goals. His focus is the acquisition and disposition of investment properties including Multifamily, Retail, Office and Industrial. Ryan also has experience in the development world getting from getting new plats online thru the construction process. Ryan continually produces wining results for his clients and has a reputation of being aggressive, hardworking, honest and reliable.
Ryan has been involved in over $275 million of investment transactions since 2011 and is one of Iowa’s leading investment professionals.

Upon graduating from Iowa State University with a Bachelors Degree in Accounting, I began my real estate career with Sheldahl and Associates. Within my first year I was promoted to the position of Operations Manager. Over the next 10 years in this position I operated and assisted in the development of over $100 million dollars worth of real estate comprised of over 600 apartments, approximately 250,000 square feet of class A and B commercial office and retail space and over 20 executive residential subdivisions. Additionally, I was responsible for all financial aspects of the company including budgeting, reporting and lender negotiations.
After 11 years of employment with Sheldahl and Associates I left to become the Director of Operations of Newbury Management Company formerly known as Heartland Properties. I was directly responsible for the operations of over 2,500 residential rental units in Iowa, Nebraska and Minnesota. Additionally I operated approximately 50,000 Square feet of Class A commercial office space in West Des Moines.
From Newbury Management I had an opportunity to purchase for myself a 28 apartment properties located throughout Iowa values at over 15 million dollars in November 2002. As part of this transaction I started up a real estate brokerage and property management company. Since this original purchase I continue to grow my portfolio with the purchase of additional real estate assets throughout Central Iowa.
John began his business career with Nationwide Insurance in 2003. He held multiple leadership roles with increasing responsibility across underwriting, compliance, and customer service. John gained a reputation for building high performing, efficient teams while individually being known for delivering large scale projects in a successful manner.
He also owns three apartment properties. He presently has one property in central Iowa and two properties in Wichita, KS totalling over three million dollars in combined value.
John looks forward to working with investors, brokers, lenders, business owners, and other members of the Des Moines area business community. His goal is to find real estate deals that make sense for all parties involved and keep prominent commercial real estate assets owned by local members of our community.
